Postdoctoral Research Associate
I obtained a BSc in Biology from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem (2003), an MSc in Neurobiology from the University of Haifa (2006) and a PhD in Neurobiology from the University of Haifa (2013). Between 2014 and 2017 I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases, working with Prof. Thomas Wolbers. I joined the Heriot-Watt University Memory Lab in November 2017 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on a Wellcome Trust-funded project on memory consolidation. This project is a collaboration between the Heriot-Watt Memory Lab (led by Dr Michaela Dewar) and the Aging & Cognition Research Group at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (led by Prof. Thomas Wolbers).
My research focuses on learning and memory processes. Particularly, I am interested in memory consolidation and the effects of encoding procedure on the subsequent memory maintenance. In addition, I am interested in spatial learning and in cognitive alternations during healthy aging.
